Making modular heavy media separation plant carried out by complete study inreliable subcontractor laboratory

Due to the base metal projects development (in particular zinc), the potential benefits of increasing the plant throughput by pre-concentration using dense medium separation(DMS) are becoming increasingly evident. This has led to a number of pre-feasibility studies being carried out on both new deposits as well as existing plants. The SADID ROOY company was one of subjected plants that needed to increase the plant throughput and reducing made concentrate TC by pre-concentrating of feed material to the leaching process when there was no lead in material or to the flotation for lead and zinc material. Reducing acid usage in leaching process by pre-concentration of material was the main reason in despite of other benefits that led us to define this project.

Making modular heavy media separation plant carried out by complete study in reliable subcontractor laboratory and examples took from a number of lead and zinc ores from Angouran mine were subjected to detailed densiometric analysis over a wide range of densities (2.6 to 4.2g/cc) at various top sizes.Computer based simulation programs were used to predict the practical operating performance of the plant without having to pursue costly pilot plant test work. Most part of Angouran mine material was a dilution rocks with high gravity difference from main mineral that increased lead and zinc mineral recovery more than before. Designed Modular HMS plant capacity was 200,000 ton per year by feed particle size from 0.5to 20mm that can process in this plant that was subjected to washing, slime eliminating.
